FAQ

Hear about the special features of this program and listen to a preview of course content!
This series of courses is designed to provide respiratory therapists with the practical tools they require to assess patients at-risk for developing COPD. Because the symptoms of COPD often do not become apparent until the lungs have been severely damaged, clinicians in primary care are in a unique position to provide early recognition and intervention for patients experiencing symptoms. These activities provide fundamental tools for improving patient care including a review of current clinical guidelines, utilizing spirometry, and familiarity with available pharmacologic and nonpharmacologic interventions.

Key Words: COPD, spirometry, dyspnea
